Description
The ZTW Mantis Slim 15A G2 is a next-generation electronic speed controller (ESC) specifically engineered for small-scale fixed-wing aircraft and gliders. As part of the G2 (Generation 2) family, it features a powerful 32-bit microprocessor, which provides significantly faster processing speeds compared to traditional 8-bit ESCs. This results in ultra-smooth throttle linearity and exceptionally fast response times, making it a favorite for pilots who demand precision in a compact, "slim" form factor.
Key Features:
- 32-Bit Microprocessor: Provides higher efficiency and more accurate motor control, ensuring a smoother power curve from low to high RPM.
- Ultra-Slim Design: Its narrow profile is designed to fit inside the tight fuselages of high-performance gliders and small park flyers where space is at a premium.
- High Voltage Compatibility: Supports 2S to 4S LiPo (7.4V – 14.8V), offering versatility for a wide range of motor and propeller combinations.
- Advanced Linear BEC: Features a built-in 5V/2A BEC to provide reliable power to your receiver and servos, even when running on a 4S battery.
- Multiple Flight Modes: Includes programmable settings for brake (On/Off), battery type, and low-voltage cutoff, allowing you to tailor the ESC to your specific aircraft.
- Lightweight Construction: Optimized to keep your aircraft's "all-up weight" (AUW) as low as possible without sacrificing heat dissipation.
Technical Specifications:
| Attribute | Specification |
|---|---|
| Continuous Current | 15A |
| Burst Current (10s) | 25A |
| Input Voltage | 2S–4S LiPo |
| BEC Output | 5V / 2A (Linear Mode) |
| Dimensions | 27 x 14 x 5mm |
| Weight | Approx. 6.8g (with wires) |
Installation Tip:
Because the Mantis Slim is designed for high-density environments, ensure it is positioned where at least one side of the ESC receives some airflow. While the 32-bit architecture is very efficient, the linear BEC can generate heat when stepping down 14.8V (4S) to 5V; providing a small air gap will ensure long-term reliability of your radio system power.
