The Reedy Blackbox 510R 30mm Fan (Part No: AS27031) is a high-velocity cooling solution designed to maintain the thermal stability of competition ESCs. Originally bundled with the 510R and 610R Blackbox units, this fan is a critical replacement or upgrade for racers running in "Modified" or "Heavy Boost" classes, where high-amperage draws can push ESC temperatures toward the thermal shutdown limit.

Installation & Pro-Tip:

Airflow direction is vital for cooling. Pro-Tip: Most fans (including this one) blow air toward the side with the manufacturer label. For the best cooling efficiency, mount the fan so the label is facing "down" into the ESC heat sink. This forces cool air directly between the fins rather than trying to pull hot air away from them.

Maintenance Note: Small pebbles or carpet fibers can easily jam 30mm fan blades. Periodically check the blades for chips and use a puff of compressed air to clear out dust. A stalled fan can cause your ESC to thermal-shutdown mid-race, even if the fan "looks" fine from the outside.
