Description
The RadioLink R8FM Replacement Receiver Antenna (Part No: RLKA001012) is an official spare part designed specifically for the ultra-miniature R8FM 8-channel receiver. Due to the R8FM's small size and its frequent use in micro-racing drones and sub-250g aircraft, the antenna is often exposed to propeller strikes or stress during crashes. This replacement restores the critical 2.4GHz frequency resonance needed for a reliable 2km air range.
Key Features:
- Optimized Micro Length: With an approximate total length of 85mm to 90mm, this antenna is tailored for the compact builds where the R8FM thrives, ensuring the cable doesn't add unnecessary bulk.
- Snap-On IPEX Connector: Features a micro IPEX (U.FL) connector for a tool-free, solderless repair. It allows the user to simply pop off the damaged antenna from the receiver board and click the new one into place.
- Lightweight Performance: At nearly zero grams, it maintains the R8FM's ultra-lightweight 2.5g profile, ensuring no impact on the center of gravity or flight agility of micro-drones.
- Official Shielded Cable: Built with high-quality coaxial shielding to prevent signal interference from other onboard electronics like ESCs or video transmitters.

Installation Tip:
The R8FM is a "micro" receiver, so the internal IPEX socket is delicate. Pro-Tip: When installing the new antenna, use a toothpick or plastic tweezers to center the connector over the socket before pressing down. You should feel a tiny "snap." To protect the connection from high-frequency racing drone vibrations, apply a very small drop of non-conductive glue (like B-7000 or E6000) over the connector.
Range Warning: For the best signal, ensure the clear unshielded tip of the antenna (the active element) is kept at least 15mm away from any carbon fiber or metal parts of the drone frame.
