Description
Combine high-visibility aesthetics with the ultimate ease of application using Orastick Fluorescent Blue (10m x 60cm). Unlike traditional iron-on films, Orastick features a high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive, allowing you to apply the film like a giant decal before permanently bonding it with heat. The Fluorescent Blue finish provides exceptional contrast and "pop" in the sky, making it a favorite for high-speed aircraft, gliders, and trainers where long-distance orientation is critical.
Key Features:
- Self-Adhesive "Stick" Technology: The pressure-sensitive backing allows for easy positioning and "cold" application—perfect for covering large sheeted surfaces without trapped air bubbles.
- High-Intensity Fluorescence: Specially pigmented to convert UV light into visible blue light, ensuring your model stands out even in overcast or low-light conditions.
- Industrial 10-Meter Roll: This bulk-length roll is ideal for club builds, large-scale projects, or multiple aircraft, offering a seamless finish without the need for unsightly joins.
- Heat-Permanent Bond: While it sticks instantly, applying heat (approx. 100°C–120°C) activates a secondary thermal bond that makes the film fuel-proof and permanent.
- Polyester Durability: Maintains the same puncture resistance and structural reinforcement as standard Oracover, ensuring your airframe stays protected.
Application Temperature Guide:
| Phase | Temperature | Visual Result |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Ambient (20°C) | Apply pressure to stick; can be lifted and repositioned easily. |
| Bonding | 100°C – 120°C | The pressure-sensitive glue becomes a permanent, heat-set bond. |
| Shrinking | 140°C – 160°C | Removes wrinkles and tightens the film over open frameworks. |
Pro-Builder Tip:
Fluorescent pigments are naturally more sensitive to UV light than standard colors. To maximize the life and "glow" of your Fluorescent Blue finish, avoid leaving your model in direct sunlight for extended periods when not flying. For the brightest possible blue, apply Orastick over a white-primed or white-sheeted surface to reflect more light back through the pigment.
