Details

North Sea fishing boats are a very popular subject for marine modellers. The Mowe 2 is based on the well-known Möwe kit and features new materials and laser-cut precision. Construction is simple and straight-forward, so the Möwe is an ideal first model and also suitable for groups and clubs e.g. as a school technology project.

Möwe 2 is an all wood construction. All parts are supplied die-cut or laser-cut to shape and virtually ready to fit. Mast booms and exhaust tube are aluminium and definitely look their part on this small model boat. A separate kit within the kit is the winch, which is built-up of precisely cut plywood parts and looks just like the real thing when painted. Three wood fish boxes emphasize the model´s realistic looks.

Assembly is absolutely straightforward and can be completed in a very short time using only simple tools (scissors, drill, clothes pegs, screwdriver, pins and adhesive tape). The deck serves as a building jig with the bulkheads being erected on it and glued to the thin plywood hull sides.

The model kit contains comprehensive building instructions, plus all the wooden parts, fittings, Race 280 electric motor, propellor shaft and propellor, rudder and adhesive.

A great kit representing excellent value for money!
