Mantua Racehorse Bomb Ketch Wooden Ship Kit (793) Scale 1:47

Originally a ketch, this ship was strengthened and used for Arctic exploration with others including the Carcase on which Nelson served as a midshipman. Being strengthened she also had the capability to withstand the pressures of large mounted mortars, so with minor adaptation was used as a Bomb vessel during the wars with Russia.

A plank on frame construction, the kit contains:- Building plans with general details, instructions, lost wax brass castings walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, laser etched details, rigging cord and silk flag.

All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy.
