JP 150mm / 6" M2 Brass RC Model Boat Propeller Shaft w/ 30mm Prop
Description
The JP 150mm (6") M2 Brass Propeller Shaft w/ 30mm Prop (Part No: 5511125) is a complete, pre-assembled marine drive unit designed for small-scale RC boat projects, plastic model conversions, and routine maintenance. By combining a precision-machined brass outer tube with an M2-threaded inner shaft and a matching 30mm propeller, it offers a "plug-and-play" solution for hobbyists looking for reliable propulsion in compact hulls.
Key Features:
- All-In-One Drive Set: Unlike buying components separately, this kit includes the brass outer tube, the 2mm inner drive shaft, and the propeller, ensuring perfect compatibility between parts.
- Miniature Scale (M2): Specifically uses M2 (2mm) threading, making it much smaller and lighter than standard M4 hardware. This is the "gold standard" for 1/24 to 1/72 scale static boat conversions to RC.
- Brass Outer Construction: The outer tube is made from high-quality brass, providing excellent corrosion resistance in both fresh and salt water environments.
- Smooth Running: Designed to be packed with waterproof marine grease to ensure a water-tight seal and smooth rotation even at higher RPMs.
- 3-Blade 30mm Propeller: Includes a high-efficiency 30mm plastic propeller that provides a good balance between static thrust and top-end speed for small craft.

Installation & Maintenance:
Before installation, it is highly recommended to fill the brass outer tube with Marine Grease. This creates a hydrostatic seal that prevents water from traveling up the shaft and into your hull. To connect this shaft to your motor, you will typically need an M2 to Motor Shaft Coupling (common sizes being 2.0mm to 2.3mm or 2.0mm to 3.17mm depending on your motor). Pro-Tip: If you are converting a static model, ensure the exit point of the shaft is reinforced with epoxy to prevent the high-speed vibrations from cracking the plastic hull.
