Description
The Hobbywing QuicRun WP-1060-RTR is a specifically branded version of the legendary 1060 brushed ESC, often supplied as original equipment in Tamiya kits and other Ready-To-Run vehicles (sometimes coded as THW-1060-RTR). It is widely considered the "gold standard" for budget-friendly brushed ESCs due to its extreme reliability, waterproof construction, and simple jumper-based programming.
Key Features:
- Waterproof & Dust-proof: Fully sealed design (IP67) allows for worry-free driving in mud, snow, and water—making it the top choice for scale crawlers and trail trucks.
- Simple Jumper Programming: No complicated menus or programming cards required. You can adjust the battery type (LiPo/NiMH) and running mode using physical "jump caps" on the side of the unit.
- Three Running Modes:
- F/B/R: Forward, Brake, and Reverse (standard car setup).
- F/B: Forward and Brake only (for racing).
- F/R: Forward and Reverse (often used for RC boats or specific crawler setups).
- Automatic Calibration: The ESC automatically detects the neutral position of your transmitter every time you power it on, ensuring consistent throttle response without manual setup.
- Built-in Capacitor: Features an integrated capacitor module to handle voltage ripples, reducing the need for external wiring.

Important Setup Tip:
Always ensure the Battery Jumper is set correctly. If you use a LiPo battery while the jumper is on "NiMH," the ESC will not cut off power when the battery gets low, which can permanently damage your LiPo cells. Conversely, if you use a NiMH battery while on the "LiPo" setting, the ESC may prematurely enter "Limp Mode" (halving power) as the voltage dips under load.
