Description
The Hobbywing Ultra-Soft Black Silicone Wire (11AWG) (Part No: HW30810002) is a high-current, premium-grade power cable designed for the most demanding RC applications. Specifically optimized for 1/8 scale and 1/5 scale vehicles, this 11-gauge wire is the factory standard for flagship ESCs like the XeRun XR8 Pro G3 and the EZRUN MAX5/MAX6 series. Its "Ultra-Soft" designation comes from a high-strand-count tinned copper core, allowing for extreme flexibility in tight chassis layouts where thick, stiff wires would be impossible to route.
Key Features:
- High Strand Count: Composed of hundreds of micro-strands of tinned copper, providing a massive surface area for current flow while remaining incredibly supple and easy to bend.
- Extreme Temperature Resistance: The high-grade silicone insulation is rated to withstand temperatures from -60°C to +200°C, ensuring the casing won't melt or become brittle even during extreme "thermal runaway" or high-load racing.
- Anti-Oxidant Tinned Copper: Each individual copper strand is coated in tin to prevent corrosion and oxidation, making soldering easier and ensuring long-term conductivity in humid or outdoor environments.
- Low Impedance: 11AWG provides significantly lower resistance than standard 12AWG or 14AWG wires, reducing voltage drop and "ripple current" heat buildup between your battery and ESC.
- Matte Black Stealth Finish: Features a professional matte black jacket that blends seamlessly into high-end "blacked-out" racing builds and custom wiring jobs.

Soldering Tip for 11AWG:
Because 11AWG wire is quite thick, it acts as a massive "heat sink" during soldering. To get a perfect bond on ESC pads or high-current connectors (like XT90 or QS8), you must use a high-wattage soldering station (at least 80W–100W) with a large chisel tip. A small pointed tip will not be able to transfer heat fast enough, leading to "cold" solder joints that can fail under the high vibration of a 1/8 scale basher.
