Description

The Hobbywing QuicRun 2030SL G2 (7800Kv) is a high-performance, sensorless brushless motor specifically designed for 1/18 and 1/16 scale vehicles. As part of the Generation 2 (G2) lineup, it features significant improvements in efficiency and heat management over the original QuicRun series. The 7800Kv rating is the "speed demon" variant, optimized for 2S LiPo setups to provide blistering top speeds in small-scale on-road cars and light-duty off-roaders like the Team Associated Reflex 14B or Losi Mini-B.

Key Features:

  • G2 Efficiency Upgrade: Optimized stator and rotor design reduces internal resistance and heat buildup, resulting in longer run times and more consistent power throughout the battery pack.
  • High-RPM Precision: Rated at 7800Kv, this motor is built for high-speed applications. When paired with a 7.4V (2S) battery, it is capable of reaching nearly 60,000 RPM.
  • Plug-and-Play Design: Comes factory-equipped with 3.5mm gold-plated bullet connectors, making it a direct fit for the QuicRun WP-16BL30 ESC.
  • Durable Construction: Features a high-strength CNC-machined aluminum "black-out" can, high-temperature copper windings, and precision ball bearings for maximum longevity.
  • Silicon Steel Stator: The 0.2mm laminations reduce "eddy current" loss, ensuring that more energy from your battery is converted into motion rather than wasted heat.

Technical Specifications:

Gearing & Setup Tip:

Because 7800Kv is extremely high for a 2030-sized motor, it is very sensitive to over-gearing. If you are running on 2S LiPo, start with a small pinion gear and monitor motor temperatures. Aim to keep the motor under 70°C (158°F). If you plan to run on 3S LiPo (if supported by your ESC), you should drop down to the 4500Kv or 5400Kv version of this motor to avoid "cooking" the magnets due to excessive RPM.
