Description
The Hobbywing QuicRun 2030SL G2 (6500Kv) is a versatile, sensorless brushless motor designed for 1/18 and 1/16 scale vehicles. Positioned between the high-torque 4500Kv and the extreme-speed 7800Kv versions, the 6500Kv model offers the ideal balance of punchy acceleration and impressive top-end speed. As a Generation 2 motor, it features an upgraded internal structure that improves efficiency and reduces heat fade, making it a perfect upgrade for mini-vehicles like the Losi Mini-T 2.0, Mini-B, or Arrma Grom series.
Key Features:
- Balanced 6500Kv Rating: Provides a high-RPM ceiling for 2S LiPo use while remaining more manageable and cooler-running than the ultra-high Kv variants.
- G2 Thermal Management: The improved stator design and high-quality aluminum can help dissipate heat more effectively, ensuring the motor maintains performance even toward the end of a long battery pack.
- Linear Power Delivery: Despite being sensorless, the 2-pole rotor design is optimized for smooth start-up and linear throttle response, reducing "cogging" at low speeds.
- Pre-Soldered Connectors: Comes factory-fitted with 3.5mm gold bullet connectors, providing a high-conductivity, plug-and-play interface with compatible Hobbywing mini ESCs.
- High-Precision Bearings: Equipped with high-RPM bearings that are shielded to resist dust and debris, essential for small-scale off-road bashing.

Application Tip:
The 6500Kv G2 is the "sweet spot" for most 1/18 scale mini-bashers. It provides a significant speed boost over stock brushed motors without requiring extreme gearing changes. However, because small-scale motors lack the thermal mass of larger 540 motors, always check your motor temperature after the first 5 minutes of running. If the motor exceeds 75°C (167°F), consider dropping your pinion gear size by 1–2 teeth to protect the internal neodymium magnets.
