Description
The Hobbywing 1/5th & 1/6th Electronic Power Switch (Part No: HW30850016) is the heavy-duty replacement switch designed specifically for the EZRUN MAX5 and MAX6 ESCs. Unlike traditional mechanical switches that can fail due to vibration or debris, this is a solid-state electronic switch housed in a fully waterproof and dust-proof casing. It is engineered to handle the high-vibration environment of large-scale (1/5 and 1/6) bashers like the Traxxas X-Maxx, Losi 5IVE-T, or Arrma Kraton 8S.
Key Features:
- Solid-State Reliability: Rated for over 50,000 on/off cycles, eliminating the "flicker" or failure points common in sliding mechanical switches.
- Waterproof & Dust-proof: Fully sealed to IP67 standards, allowing it to function perfectly in mud, snow, or water without the risk of short-circuiting.
- Integrated "SET" Button: Features the dedicated programming button used to calibrate throttle range or enter the ESC's internal programming menus.
- High-Voltage Safety: Designed to safely manage the signal logic for 3S–8S LiPo systems found in large-scale vehicles.
- Easy Mounting: Includes a flanged housing with screw holes for secure mounting to a chassis or radio box, preventing the switch from dangling or getting caught in moving parts.

Pro Tip for Large Scale Bashers:
When installing this switch in a 1/5 scale truck, try to mount it in a location that is easily accessible without removing the body, but shielded from direct impacts. Because the MAX5/MAX6 generates significant power, ensure the switch wire is routed away from the high-voltage motor and battery cables to prevent any potential electromagnetic interference (EMI) from affecting the digital signal. If your ESC won't turn on, check the 3-pin plug connection at the ESC body first, as this can sometimes vibrate loose in extreme 8S jumps.
