Fastrax Micro Fail Safe for Nitro Cars

Probably the most important option you can fit to any nitro engined RC model. Although very popular for use with nitro cars, a fail safe can be used with most models where you want to move the throttle servo to a pre-set position in the case of signal or battery failure. This position is usually the brake position or throttle off.

How many times have you seen a car disappear into the distance at full speed with no response from the radio? Eventually it hits something hard with every probability that it damages the car. The runaway has been caused by batteries that have gone flat, loss of radio signal or someone else has just switched on with the same frequency.

This low cost failsafe from Fastrax monitors the signal from your transmitter and also the voltage from your receiver battery. If either of these fail the unit will close the throttle and apply the brake on your car, preventing a costly runaway. Suitable for any 4.8 or 6.0 volt application, it takes seconds to fit and comes complete with setting up instructions. Compatible with all types of 27, 35 or 40 MHz radio systems and servos.

Please note that it is not compatible with 2.4GHz radio systems which already incorporate a basic fail safe position in the event of signal failure.
