The Gerry Anderson show Space:1999 which originally aired in 1975, featured the crew of Moon Base Alpha as they found themselves stranded on our moon as a nuclear disaster knocked it from Earth's atmosphere. Sci-fi fans remember the outstanding special effects and production values of the show. The hero ship of the show was the Eagle-1 transporter, and in celebration of the 40th anniversary, MPC have released this superb half scale model of the actual 44" studio miniature.
At an impressive 22" long this 1:48 scale all-new iconic kit has been exhaustively researched for accuracy and comprises over 300 parts featuring impressive detail such as spring loaded articulated landing gear, pilot figures and removable central pod.
The kit includes all necessary marking decals so it can be built without the need for paint if desired. An easy to follow pictorial assembly guide is supplied to assist in construction.
